This unit is insulated and jacketed for protection against weather (UV-resistant orange ABS plastic jacket with removable polyethylene foam insulation) - heating is controlled by thermostat that shuts heat off when ambient temperature is over 50°F. Guardian's high quality two-in-one heat-traced safety station provides excellent protection against freezing through self-limiting heat tracing cable wrapped around internal pipe. Intended for use in areas with cold weather conditions, it is important to note that consideration should be given to supplying unit with tempered water in accordance with ANSI Z358.1-2014.
